Chuck is a design inspired by the organic curves found in nature, embodying an elegant blend of form and function. By intricately integrating two distinctly contrasting materials, it achieves a seamless, cohesive look that defies the inherent differences between them.
This design celebrates the harmony that can emerge from juxtaposition, allowing each material’s unique qualities to shine while creating a unified aesthetic that feels both natural and refined.

Material Processing and Joinery
This project explores the potential of combining contrasting materials, specifically recycled plastic and wood — through the design of a stool. It investigates the unconventional use of recycled plastic in furniture while also addressing considerations of structure, ergonomics, and material behavior.
The properties of recycled plastic allowed me to explore unconventional joinery methods, particularly through the use of heat, offering new possibilities when combined with traditional woodworking techniques.
